Artist's Harvest Exhibition reception, market set for Oct. 9

AUBURN, Ala.- Join Auburn Parks and Recreation for the Artist’s Harvest Gallery Reception, Costume Sale and Market on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 5:30-8 p.m. The event will take place at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC) in Gallery 2, the Performance Room and the patio, offering a festive evening filled with creativity and community spirit.

Guests are invited to explore autumn- and Halloween-themed artwork created by local artists while enjoying a gallery reception with seasonal refreshments. Outside on the patio, the market will showcase handcrafted goods from JDCAC-affiliated artists, including Ceramics Independent Studio members, Open Studio participants and instructors. The Performance Room will host a costume sale presented by the Auburn Area Community Theatre with unique finds just in time for Halloween.

Artists are invited to submit their autumnal or Halloween works for consideration in the gallery exhibition at no cost. Artwork must be family-friendly. Exhibition registration is open at auburnal.myrec.com and closes Sept. 19. Artwork must be dropped off at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center by 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 19. The exhibition will be on display Oct. 1-Nov. 4. Those wishing to sell their work at the Artist’s Harvest Market can also register at no cost at auburnal.myrec.com. Market vendor spaces are limited.
